1999 Joey Bada$$

New tape by Joey Bada$$, my bro @ryguydmv put me on to a video he had on worldstar. It's a nice change of pace that Joey brings to the rap game on this project. He's def got a old school flow and it refreshing to hear and different from most of the stuff we here on the radio now. I would go as far to say that Joey's probably the best artist to come out of NY in the last decade. NY is def the foundation of rap but outside of Jay-Z, Jada Kiss, Nas, and Fabolous (who have all been rapping for a decade) there hasn't been much to scream about as far NY artist. Nicki might be an exception but I'm not her biggest fan. I think he's got a bright future considering that he's not the only artist bring lyrics back to the game, but he's also only 17 and still in high school.
